Rounds One and Two are set to take place on September 7 and 8, 2024.

McConnell, who has rapidly risen to prominence in the world of Nitrocross, delivered an outstanding performance during the 2023-24 season. He set the tone early by clinching victory in the first round and continued to demonstrate his prowess with wins in Round Five in Phoenix and Round Nine in Las Vegas. Additionally, he secured a second-place finish in Round Six, ultimately earning the runner-up spot in the overall standings, just behind Robin Larsson, who claimed his second consecutive championship. This marked a significant improvement from McConnell’s third-place finish in the 2022-23 season.

As he prepares for his third season, McConnell is more determined than ever to elevate his game and make Jamaica proud. Named Jamaica’s Motorsport Athlete of the Year, McConnell reflects on the previous season with pride and looks forward to what lies ahead.

A thrilling experience

“Last season was a thrilling experience, and I’m proud of what we achieved as a team. This year, I’m even more motivated to give it my absolute everything to put the black, green, and gold on the top spot,” McConnell expressed. “The support from Jamaica and motorsport fans worldwide has been incredible, and I’m excited to give them more to cheer about this season while we plan to make every opportunity count and show the world what we can do.”

The new Richmond Raceway venue adds an extra layer of excitement and challenge for McConnell, who is eager to test his skills on unfamiliar terrain.

“Racing at a new track to start the season is always an exciting challenge. It levels the playing field and pushes every driver to adapt quickly, and learning new tracks quickly is something that I am very comfortable with. I’m looking forward to testing my skills in Richmond and setting the pace for what I’m hoping will be another incredible season,” McConnell remarked.

Nitrocross, known for its high-speed, adrenaline-fueled races, will feature 10 rounds across six venues, with stops in Richmond, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Miami, and Las Vegas, running from September 7 through March 2. With Fraser McConnell’s talent and determination, the upcoming season promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
