Reggae Girlz forward and standout soccer player Jody Brown reached a significant milestone as she graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities.
At the age of 22, Brown has demonstrated exceptional success both on and off the soccer field. Joining 100 other student-athletes, Brown celebrated her graduation from FSU over the weekend, marking the culmination of her collegiate journey.
During her time at Florida State, Brown played a crucial role in securing two National Division 1 Soccer titles in 2021 and 2023, contributing to the team’s remarkable success. Additionally, she was part of four ACC Division One championship-winning teams from 2020 to 2023, showcasing her talent and dedication to collegiate soccer.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Brown excelled academically, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities. Brown’s graduation drew congratulations from fellow Reggae Girlz teammates, including Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Kiki van Zanten, and Tiffany Cameron, as well as Jamaican track and field icon Veronica Campbell Brown.
From representing Jamaica at a young age to competing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019 and 2023, Brown’s journey exemplifies dedication and talent both on and off the field. As she looks ahead to the next chapter of her career, Brown’s achievements serve as an inspiration, demonstrating the value of determination, resilience, and academic excellence in pursuing one’s goals.
