Competing in her first 100-meter race since joining LSU, Brianna Lyston, the talented sophomore, displayed her prowess on the track with a wind-aided time of 10.87 seconds (+2.6 m/s) at the Battle on the Bayou event. Despite her impressive run, Lyston finished just behind her former teammate, Favour Ofili, who crossed the finish line in 10.85 seconds.
Remarkably, this race marked Lyston’s first 100m event in two years, highlighting her return to competitive racing with a strong performance. Notably, both current and former LSU Tigers now hold the world’s two fastest all-condition times early in the outdoor season, reaffirming the university’s track and field prowess.
