Woman killed in car accident in USVI

A woman has died from injuries she sustained in a vehicular accident on the US Virgin Islands on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Jahniqua Williams.

According to police reports, the driver of a 2003 GMC Envoy SUV was heading eastbound early Sunday morning when the car veered into the westbound lane and collided with another SUV driven by Williams.

Williams died at the scene while the other injured persons were taken to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment.

Police reports indicate that the drivers and the passenger were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
