A major winter storm sweeping across much of the United States has caused multiple flight cancellations at Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) and Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), affecting travel for passengers arriving and departing this weekend.

The storm, which is impacting areas from the Southern Plains through the Midwest and into the Northeast, has brought snow, sleet, freezing rain, and dangerously cold temperatures. Forecasts suggest that snow totals could exceed a foot in some areas, with icy conditions creating hazardous roads, power outages, and significant travel disruptions.
