Despite the challenges posed by a disciplined Nepalese bowling attack, West Indies' total seemed achievable. However, it was their bowlers who truly shone, providing a clinical performance to dismantle Nepal's chase. Trisha Hardat (2-9), Aaliyah Weekes (2-16), and Amiah Gilbert (2-18) each struck vital blows, reducing Nepal to 100 all out in just 19.1 overs.

Efforts not enough

Seemana KC fought valiantly for Nepal with a gritty 23 runs, while Puja Mahato and Kiran Kunwar contributed 18 runs each. But their efforts were not enough to surpass the West Indies' tight bowling and fielding performance.

With this thrilling victory under their belt, the West Indies U19 Women were now poised to face New Zealand in their second warm-up match on Tuesday. The clash promises to further test the Caribbean team’s preparations for the highly anticipated tournament.
