In a clash between the only two winless sides in the Regional Super50 Cup, the Windward Islands Volcanoes secured their first victory of the tournament by defeating the Jamaica Scorpions.

Trinidadian left-hander Jeremy Solozano top-scored for the Volcanoes with 40, while Alick Athanaze contributed a brisk 36. Shamar Springer played a vital role in steering the home side to victory with an unbeaten 24.

This defeat marked the fifth consecutive loss for the defending champions, the Scorpions, who have had a challenging campaign.
