Vincentian killed in car crash in Jamaica

A car crash on the Dunn’s River main road in Ocho Rios, St Ann, Jamaica led to the death of a 30-year-old national from St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The deceased has been identified as Desran Gould.

Accident details

Reports are that on Sunday, both vehicles heading towards Ocho Rios collided after one of the cars unexpectedly swerved into the path of the other.

Several individuals were harmed in the crash, with Desran Gould, a passenger in one of the vehicles, being among those severely injured.

Injuries and hospitalizations 

Following the accident, the injured individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital. 

While the others are currently reported to be in stable condition, Gould succumbed to his injuries.

Driver arrested 

Reports are that one of the involved drivers has been taken into custody. 

Authorities have arrested this individual on charges of causing death by dangerous driving.
