In the eighth minute, Kenrick Brown coolly converted from the penalty spot after a Trinidadian defender handled the ball in the box. Barely two minutes later, Jamaica doubled their advantage—swiftly dispossessing their opponents before Taylor, unmarked at the back post, tapped in from close range.
Trinidad fight back, Jamaica respond
Trinidad gradually settled, creating chances and pushing forward, but Jamaica delivered a crushing third blow just before the interval. From a well-positioned free kick, Kelvin Brown bent the ball low and beyond the reach of the diving goalkeeper to make it 3–0.
Trinidad struck back early in the second half when a defensive lapse allowed Richardson to score. Yet Jamaica’s response was immediate—Clarke pounced on a deflected shot to restore the three-goal cushion in the 50th minute.
Brown’s volley and Morris’ late penalty seal rout
The goal of the match arrived in the 53rd minute when Kelvin D. Brown met a cross with a blistering volley, leaving the goalkeeper rooted as the ball rocketed into the net. Trinidad narrowed the gap once more through Jones, who rose highest to head in from a set-piece in the 62nd minute.
But Jamaica had the final say. In the dying moments, Morris converted from the spot to complete the 6-2 scoreline, sending the young Boyz into the final with confidence and momentum.
Jamaica will now face Puerto Rico, which defeated Guatemala 2-0 in the other semi-final, for the League B title. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Guillermo Prospero Trinidad Stadium. Earlier, at 1:00 p.m., Guatemala and Trinidad will clash in the third-place playoff.
