Last Thursday, the male suspect, through his attorney Christon J Williams, filed a writ of habeas corpus in the Port of Spain High Court, challenging his detention since March 10, but the police argued before Justice Nadia Kangaloo that they needed more time.
Following the discovery of Joseph’s body, Trinidad and Tobage Prime Minister, Keith Rowley, openly expressed his preference for the death penalty for persons found guilty of murder.
