Three students hospitalized after possible overdose incident at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School

Three students are hospitalized following a suspected overdose incident at the Lauderdale Lakes Middle School on Monday.

Reports are that authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue responded to the distressing situation, which unfolded on the school premises located on Northwest 30th Avenue. 

The incident has raised numerous questions about the circumstances surrounding the students’ exposure to an unknown substance.

Edibles suspected as the cause

According to reports, Broward County Public Schools officials reported that the three female students had ingested edibles.

Investigations are being done to uncover how they received the edibles.

One of the most pressing questions surrounding this incident is how the students came into possession of these edibles containing an unknown substance.
