A man has been arrested after being accused of vandalizing the Rok Family Shul in Brickell in Miami on Saturday.

Andrew Johnson reportedly threw a rock at the Jewish center, resulting in approximately $10,000 worth of damages.

He is facing several criminal mischief and trespassing charges.

Surveillance footage captures incident

Reports are that the incident was recorded by surveillance cameras installed at the facility, located on Southeast 9th Street.

According to reports, the footage shows an object, presumably the rock in question, soaring through the air before crashing into the center’s glass doors.

Witness shares account of incident

It is further reported that Rabbi Chaim Lipskar, who was present at the Rok Family Shul during the time of the incident, allegedly witnessed Johnson in possession of the rock.

No hate crime charges filed

Despite the targeted act against a religious establishment, Johnson has not been charged with committing a hate crime.

However, a judge has issued a restraining order, mandating that Johnson maintain distance from the Jewish center.
