The announcement was made following the CTO’s Annual General Meeting during the State of the Tourism Industry Conference on September 3rd, 2024. Mrs. Liburd will serve a two-year term from September 2024 to 2026.
As Vice Chair, Mrs. Liburd will collaborate with newly elected Chairman Honorable Ian Gooding-Edghill, Chairperson of the Board of Directors Andrea Franklin, and other Executive Committee and Allied Board members. Together, they will guide the CTO in advancing the Caribbean's tourism strategy, ensuring the region’s offerings remain globally competitive.
