St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is in Guyana for a four-day official visit, according to an official statement issued on Monday.

It said both Prime Minister Gonsalves and his host, President Dr. Irfan Ali arrived on the same flight from Brazil, where they attended the inauguration of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The statement said Gonsalves, one of the longest-serving heads of government in the 15-member Caribbean Community (CARICOM) grouping, will meet with President Ali and several government ministers “to discuss a number of areas of cooperation”.

Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves visited Guyana last year for the inaugural Agri-Investment Forum and Expo.
