St Vincent authorities on hunt for ‘armed and dangerous’ escaped prisoner

An “armed and dangerous” prisoner who escaped from the Belle Isles Correctional Institution in St Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday while working on the prison farm is being sought after by authorities.

The escapee, 42-year-old Christopher Dasent, is serving a 12-month prison sentence for burglary and criminal trespass.

“He is a Vincentian national who is considered to be armed and dangerous. Please do not approach,” His Majesty’s Prison said in a bulletin shortly before midnight on Wednesday.

It urged anyone who have seen him to contact either the prison or the police.
