OECS extends support to Antigua and Barbuda after TS Phillippe

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission has affirmed its unwavering support for Antigua and Barbuda and Guadeloupe in the wake of the devastation left by Tropical Storm Phillippe. 

Both islands grappled with the impacts of widespread flooding, power failures, and considerable property damage as a direct result of the tempest.

Standing together in times of crisis

The OECS Commission not only expressed deep sympathy for the islands but also empathy for the individuals who experienced personal injuries and property loss or damage. 

The Commission extends its heartfelt understanding to the people of Antigua and Barbuda, as well as the Regional Council and inhabitants of Guadeloupe, recognizing the collective pain felt due to the turbulent passing of Tropical Storm Phillippe.

Embarking on the path to recovery

Assurances of support were conveyed by the OECS Commission to both Antigua and Barbuda and Guadeloupe as they commence their recovery processes.
