The City of Miami Gardens has issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26 fixtures, warning residents and visitors of major road closures, restricted zones and enhanced security measures between June 24 and July 18.

Hard closures will be in effect for match days, including Brazil vs. Scotland (June 24), Portugal vs. Colombia (June 27), as well as knockout-stage fixtures on July 3 (Round of 32), July 11 (Quarterfinal) and July 18 (Bronze Final). Authorities say closures will run daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Key routes affected include Florida’s Turnpike Exit 2X in both directions and NW 199th Street between NW 14th Court and NW 27th Avenue. Officials stressed that only vehicles with official FIFA parking passes will be allowed to cross within the restricted perimeter during closure hours.

A large “Clean Zone” will also be enforced across the stadium district, bounded by NW 12th Avenue to NW 32nd Avenue and NW 183rd Street to NW 215th Street. A stricter inner restricted zone extends to County Line Road on the north, NW 183rd Street on the south, NW 12th Avenue on the east, and NW 32nd Avenue on the west.

Within the Clean Zone, authorities will prohibit vending, pedicabs, temporary structures, mobile advertising, and other unlicensed commercial activity. City officials say the measures are intended to maintain pedestrian safety and manage the high volume of foot traffic expected around match days.

Local officials emphasized that law enforcement and event organizers are continuously updating security and traffic plans in preparation for the tournament, urging residents to plan ahead and allow additional travel time throughout the event period.

The City said the measures are designed to balance public access with safety as it prepares to host one of the world’s largest sporting events.
