The Jamaican police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 48-year-old man in Manchester who is said to have been visiting from England.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning.

Dead is Michael Brown, a resident of Waterford, England. Reports are that Brown was at an unfinished area of a house in the Mike Town community when he was ambushed by gunmen.

Brown received gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was rushed to Mandeville Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
