Investigators said an adult male fired several rounds in the direction of a nearby garbage container. Deputies located the man and took him into custody without further incident.
No injuries were reported, and authorities said there was no active shooter or ongoing threat to the community.
Detectives from the sheriff’s office Homeland Bureau and Airport General Investigations Unit responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
The man was identified as Francisco Ivan Mendiola, 31.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
