Lettsome International Airport on Sunday, marking a renewed commitment to providing reliable and affordable air travel across the Caribbean.
The Premier of the Virgin Islands, The Honourable Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley, expressed that the arrival of LIAT Airlines is not just about expanding the airline's reach, but also about strengthening the region's connections. He emphasized that this new service will play a crucial role in fostering economic growth and enhancing cultural exchanges between the islands.
During the momentous occasion of LIAT Airlines' new route to Tortola, Ms. Hafsah Abdulsalam, Chief Executive Officer of LIAT (2020) Limited, expressed her excitement about reconnecting the British Virgin Islands with the wider Caribbean. She emphasized the airline's focus on offering reliable services that cater to the needs of travelers while also promoting regional tourism.
To mark the launch, LIAT is offering regular flights from Beef Island with an introductory one-way fare starting at $99, available for a limited time.
LIAT (2020) Limited, operating as LIAT20 or LIAT, is an airline based in Antigua and Barbuda. It succeeded LIAT (1974) and commenced operations on August 6, 2024. LIAT20 is a 30/70 joint venture between the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and Air Peace, and its fleet is inherited from the previous LIAT (1974).
