Khadija Shaw clinches Manchester City Women's Player-of-the-Month for December

Reggae Girl Khadija "Bunny" Shaw continues to shine brightly, securing her second consecutive Player-of-the-Month award with Manchester City Women for December.

The prolific striker, hailing from Spanish Town, outperformed her competition, including Dutch forward Jill Roord and England international Lauren Hemp, to claim the prestigious award.

Shaw, at the age of 26, showcased her scoring prowess with three goals in December, all of them coming during a remarkable hat-trick against Everton. Manchester City Women dominated Everton with a resounding 4-1 victory in the Women's Super League at Merseyside.

Incredible performance against Everton

In addition to her incredible performance against Everton, Shaw also played a pivotal role in Manchester City Women's victory against Aston Villa, helping her team recover from a one-goal deficit to secure a 2-1 win at home. Lauren Hemp contributed with a double in that match.

November had already seen Shaw's remarkable scoring ability, with four goals, including another sensational hat-trick against Tottenham, leading Manchester City Women to a crushing 7-0 victory, also at home.

Shaw currently leads the Women's Super League in goal-scoring, with an impressive nine goals from as many games. Her outstanding form from the previous season, during which she scored 31 goals from 30 games in all competitions, earned her the title of City's Player-of-the-Season.

Consistently exceptional performances

Manchester City Women is currently positioned second in the league standings with 22 points, just three points behind leaders and defending champions Chelsea, with equal points with Arsenal. This represents a significant improvement from the previous season when City finished fourth in the league.

Shaw's consistently exceptional performances have solidified her reputation as one of the top footballers on the women's circuit.
