JOIA Rose Hall to reopen in December following full resort renovation

JOIA Rose Hall, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, is set to welcome guests back on December 1 following a full renovation that includes redesigned suites, upgraded dining venues and new experiences highlighting Jamaican culture.

The Iberostar Group property, located along Montego Bay's Rose Hall Corridor about 10 miles from Sangster International Airport, has undergone a transformation of its public spaces, beachfront areas and all 295 suites.

The redesign was developed in collaboration with Barcelona-based architecture and interior design firm El Equipo Creativo, incorporating tropical influences, natural textures and locally inspired details.

The renovation covers the resort's arrival areas, lobby, staircase, solarium, poolside terraces and beachfront spaces. Its accommodations, including Butler Suites, Swim-up Suites and Penthouse Suites, have also been redesigned with new furnishings, locally inspired patterns and private terraces. Guests will continue to have access to 24-hour room service.

The resort's renewed offering also places emphasis on Jamaican culture and personalized service. A dedicated Pool Concierge will serve guests along the beachfront, with offerings including chilled rum cocktails, poolside dominoes and music-led experiences.

Facilities include four swimming pools, an infinity pool, a spa, gym, outdoor running trail, tennis and pickleball courts, a turfed football field and a dive center. Water activities include kayaking, catamaran sailing, snorkeling and windsurfing.

Dining is another major component of the relaunch. The property features nine dining venues, including five specialty restaurants, and four bars.

Among the restaurants is Oriole, a beachfront venue focused on Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine. Other options include GAIA House of Grill, Chez Charlie, which offers French brasserie-style dining, and Zázá, featuring a Southeast Asian-inspired menu developed in collaboration with chef Erik Bruner-Yang.

The resort's cocktail program will be developed with Giacomo Giannotti, whose Barcelona bar, Paradiso, has been recognized among The World's 50 Best Bars. The menu will include a signature cocktail featuring sorrel.

Music will also feature prominently in the renewed guest experience, with music curator Soledad Rodríguez overseeing specially designed tracks throughout the property. Live performances and nightly entertainment featuring local artists will highlight Jamaican music, dance and traditions.
