On the female side, competitors include two-time winner Aliana McMaster, her sister Leanne, and Renee Rickhi from the Jamaica Rifle Association's Alpha Angels lady shooters.
The event will feature shooters in various classes, including A - E, Hunters or Beginners, Juniors, Sub-Juniors, and Ladies, vying for top honors in their respective categories. The challenging 18-station driving course will present targets of varying types, including true pairs, rabbits, and targets released over gentle flowing streams.
Approximately 150 shooters are expected to participate in the event, which will also feature team competitions among local gun clubs. Part proceeds from the event will be donated to the Food For the Poor organization.
The Rangers Gun Club Sporting Clays shoot is sponsored by Sterling Asset Management, with support from Worthy Park Select, National, and STLSOLAR. Established in the mid-1980s, the club has a rich history and is currently focused on sporting clays, the most popular form of the sport.
