In an address during the official opening of the renovated Black River Fire Station in St. Elizabeth, Prime Minister Andrew Holness of Jamaica emphasized the importance of informed decision-making in the upcoming Local Government Election.

Encouraging voters to look beyond emotional sway, Holness appealed for a thorough assessment of his administration's contributions to the nation’s welfare.

Assessing track record amidst electoral battle

Holness acknowledged the fierce competition among political parties vying for the electorate’s support. Despite this, he expressed unwavering confidence in his government’s track record, asserting its transformative impact on the lives of Jamaicans.

Emphasizing the need for objective evaluation, he highlighted measurable achievements as evidence of his administration’s efficacy.

Defending government action

Asserting the government’s commitment to effecting change, Prime Minister Holness urged citizens to objectively assess the administration’s accomplishments, emphasizing that these achievements can be quantified and measured.

He expressed disappointment in what he termed as an “anti-campaign” aimed at discrediting the government’s efforts, emphasizing that the work undertaken by the administration speaks for itself.
