Hibbert's outstanding year culminated in him becoming the youngest recipient of Athletics' most prestigious collegiate honor, The Bowerman Award. He swept the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) triple jump titles and set a world Under-20 record in the triple jump.
