Jamaican school teams Kingston College (KC) and Hydel High displayed outstanding performances, securing victories in all the races they entered at the Trinidad and Tobago Secondary Schools’ Track and Field Relay Festival 2024, which took place at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on January 18.
In the boys’ 17+ 4×400-meter relay, KC emerged victorious with an impressive time of 3:25.18 minutes. They were followed by Queen’s Royal College, clocking in at 3:28.93, and Stvince Grammar School at 3:29.25. 4x100m relay finals
KC and Hydel also showcased their prowess in the 4x100m relay finals. Kingston College triumphed in the boys’ 17+ 4×100-meter relay, clocking a swift 41.77 seconds, with ST Benedict’s College and Presentation College S’Do following closely.
The girls' 17+ 4×100-meter relay was highly competitive, with Hydel High leading in 47.83 seconds, followed by Princes Margaret and St. Lucia Sports.
Other notable performances included Fatima College's win in the U17 boys’ 4x400m, and Bishop Anstey's victory in the girls’ U17 4x400m. Toco Secondary claimed the girls’ U15 4×60 shuttle hurdle, and Roxborough Secondary secured the boys’ final.

Barrouallie St. Vincent claimed the girls’ 4x800m open, and Queen’s Royal College took the boys’ 4x800m open. Queen’s Royal College also won the U15 boys’ 4x200m and the U17 boys’ 4x200m. Barrouallie St. Vincent triumphed in the girls’ U17 4x200m, while Princes Margaret emerged victorious in the 17+ boys’ 4x200m and the girls’ 17+ 4x200m.
In the men's events, Point Fortin New Jets secured the 4x100m, and Stallion took the men's 4x400m title. The event showcased remarkable talent and spirited competition from schools across the Caribbean.
