A Jamaican woman has died, and several others injured following an accident along the Greenwood main road on Christmas Day.

Dead is 41-year-old Sydia Jarrett from Friendship district in Trelawny. She was a supervisor at a resort in Rose Hall, St James.

According to police reports, Jarrett was among passengers who were traveling in a Toyota Coaster bus when it crashed with a Toyota Voxy at around 11:40 p.m.

The injured were taken to hospital where Jarrett was pronounced dead.

Jarrett is the second employee killed in a car crash; another employee died last month in a collision along the Flanker main road in St James.
