The police are investigating a case of suspected suicide involving a member of the police force in the northern Jamaican parish of St. Ann, late Sunday.

The police reported that the body of Corporal Huie Green was found at his house with a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head, shortly after 6pm.

The police were alerted by neighboring residents who reportedly heard an explosion. Upon further investigation, Green's body was found in the house.

Corporal Green, was a veteran cop who served the Jamaica Constabulary Force for 27 years. He was stationed at the Claremont Police Station in St. Ann.
