Jamaican athletes gear up for Doha Diamond League, led by World Champion Tajay Gayle

Jamaican athletes are set to showcase their talents at the upcoming stop in the Wanda Diamond League series in Doha, with 2019 World Champion Tajay Gayle leading the contingent of five athletes scheduled to compete on Friday.

Gayle, boasting a season-best mark of 7.64 meters, is slated to compete in the men's long jump event, where he will be accompanied by fellow Jamaican Carey McLeod.

Additionally, the start list includes 2019 Pan Am Games champion and Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Natoya-Goule Toppin, who will participate in the women's 800m event.

Andrew Hudson is listed to compete

Natasha Morrison is set to represent Jamaica in the women's 100m event, where she will face tough competition from athletes such as Daryl Neita of Great Britain and Tamara Davis of the United States.

In the men's 200m, Jamaican sprinter Andrew Hudson is listed to compete against formidable opponents like Aaron Brown of Canada and American sprinter Kenneth Bednarek.
