The country was recognized for excellence in regional tourism marketing, earning the Caribbean Media Award for Best Social Media Campaign. The category highlights digital promotions, creator collaborations and visual storytelling that effectively engage global audiences and showcase the Caribbean.
Jamaica was cited for a campaign featuring “Love Island” influencers who covered the 2025 Reggae Marathon, generating more than six million views across platforms.

The awards were presented during Caribbean Week, the region’s flagship tourism event, which brings together ministers, tourism officials, industry stakeholders and media to celebrate achievements and shape regional tourism strategy.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett welcomed the recognition, saying it reflects the work of Jamaica’s tourism sector.
“These awards are a testament to Jamaica’s unwavering commitment to excellence in tourism,” Bartlett said. “They reflect the resilience, innovation, and collaborative efforts of our tourism partners who continue to elevate Brand Jamaica on the global stage.”
Director of Tourism Donovan White also highlighted the significance of the recognition, noting that it reinforces the effectiveness of the country’s marketing strategy and the strength of its tourism product.
“Receiving these awards at Caribbean Week is particularly meaningful because it comes from within our regional tourism community,” White said. “It reinforces the effectiveness of our marketing strategies, the strength of our tourism product, and the passion of the Jamaican people who create memorable experiences for every visitor.”
Jamaica’s tourism sector continues to show strong performance, supported by expanded airlift, product diversification, investment and workforce development initiatives. The island remains one of the Caribbean’s most visited destinations, welcoming millions of visitors annually and generating significant economic activity.
Officials said the latest recognition further underscores Jamaica’s leadership role in regional tourism and its ongoing focus on growth, innovation and sustainability.
