"The domestic airbridge is much more than a route network, it is a vital link that brings families together, supports businesses, enables access to essential services, and connects communities across Trinidad and Tobago," said CAL acting chief executive officer Varma Khillawan. "We are proud to have served more than 75,000 passengers in August and to play an important role in helping people stay connected. As demand continues to grow, Caribbean Airlines remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and convenient service, ensuring that our customers can travel with confidence whenever they need to move between the islands."

The airline noted that its responsive scheduling strategy provided passengers with greater seat availability and ensured dependable inter-island transport during one of the busiest periods of the year.

The positive inter-island performance coincides with broader regional adjustments for the carrier. Effective September 2, CAL discontinued its direct Trinidad/Tobago/Barbados return routing as part of an ongoing schedule optimization across its wider regional network.

Addressing its customer base following the busy travel month, Khillawan added that Caribbean Airlines thanks its customers for their continued support.
