Jamaica's Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that the government will soon implement a ticketing system for breaches of the coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols.

“We have been discussing the implementation of new legislation for ticketing and for giving the security forces greater enforcement powers. The Prime Minister noted that the proposed ticketing system will be another tool at the disposal of the security forces in implementing the measures under the Disaster Risk Management Act.

According to the latest statistics available up to Sunday, February 14, Jamaica surpassed 19,000 COVID-19 cases, with 19,035 positives and 374
