Jamaica’s 63rd Independence anniversary celebrations continue across South Florida and other cities this week with a lively lineup of cultural and community events. Organized under the patronage of the Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami, the festivities highlight Jamaican pride through music, worship, conversation, and gala-style gatherings.

Today, Sunday, August 3, marks a major milestone in the celebrations with three key events:

  • 3:00 p.m.Thanksgiving Service
    Hosted by the Consulate General of Jamaica, Miami

  • 5:00 p.m.Jamaica Independence Motorcade
