As part of the launch, a group of ten Grenadian media representatives and influencers flew to Guyana from December 1 to December 5 to explore the country's tourism offerings. In return, a team of ten Guyanese individuals traveled to Grenada for a series of tourism experiences. This exchange program is designed to promote regional tourism and provide both countries with valuable insights into each other’s tourism markets.
Trevor Sadler, CEO of InterCaribbean Airways, described the new route as a “game-changer” for regional connectivity. He emphasized that the direct flights would help bridge cultural divides, promote trade, and unlock new opportunities for tourism and business ventures.
