IMF official hails renewable energy potential in St Kitts and Nevis

Deputy Managing Director Bo Li of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) heralded the potential of renewable energy to reshape the future of St Kitts and Nevis. 

The IMF official met Prime Minister Terrence Drew and other officials last week.

Climate policies and fiscal responsibility

Acknowledging the challenges and opportunities inherent in the climate crisis, the IMF advocates for a nuanced approach. 

Bo Li highlighted the necessity of holistic climate policies that prioritize environmental resilience while maintaining strong public finance and debt sustainability.
