She was among 143 migrants aboard a plane bound for Haiti.

Medical assistance was provided by the nurse stationed at Lynden Pindling International Airport, along with fire services EMTs.

The Doctor’s Hospital emergency medical team also arrived by ambulance to extend further medical aid.

Despite the efforts, the female migrant died during the course of the medical response.

The Immigration Department said that the Haitian Embassy in Nassau has been informed about the woman’s death.
