Grenada triumphs at Chelsea Flower Show

Minister Adrian Thomas of Tourism, the Creative Economy, and Culture recently lauded Team Grenada for their exceptional performance at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show held in London on May 21, 2024. 

The team clinched Grenada’s 17th gold medal and also won the prestigious President’s Award, a recognition for outstanding exhibitors.

A testament to dedication and creativity

The minister commended the leaders, suppliers, and designers for orchestrating such a successful showcase. He highlighted that the achievement reflected the team’s commitment, creativity, and superior horticultural skills. 

Grenada’s exhibit, themed “The Golden Falls of Grenada,” captured the imagination of both judges and attendees. 

The vibrant and innovative design celebrated Grenada’s 50th year of independence, featuring the island's rich flora and natural attractions.

Enhancing Grenada’s global image

Minister Thomas emphasized that Grenada’s continued participation and success in international events like the Chelsea Flower Show not only spotlight the island’s natural beauty and the talent of its people but also play a crucial role in boosting its global reputation. 

These achievements contribute to increased awareness and a rise in visitor arrivals.
