Grenada continues to monitor Tobago oil spill

Grenada’s National Disaster Management Agency is still monitoring the recent oil spill off Tobago’s coast. 

Through meetings with stakeholders, the agency’s efforts are focused on determining the spill’s trajectory and potential impact on Grenada’s marine areas.

Activated response

The agency reported that an oil spill committee has been activated and will continue to work with regional and hemispheric partners to monitor the situation. 

Last week it was reported that the government was in contact with the Government of Trinidad & Tobago through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assess the impact the oil spill may have on Grenada.
