Former Prime Minister Owen Arthur Hospitalized

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Former Prime Minister of Barbados, Owen Arthur, has been admitted to hospital with heart complications.

According to Barbados Today, the former Prime Minister is in stable condition and is resting at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.

Arthur, who was the country’s longest serving Prime Minister, retired from public life in 1998.

Earlier this year he was appointed chairman of the finally strapped airline LIAT.
