FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program helps customers save on bills, get high-speed internet for free

The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is assisting low-income households in paying for internet service and connected devices such as laptops or tablets.
To qualify for this program, the applicant, or his or her child or dependent must be enrolled in government programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and WIC, amongst others.
Interested persons may also qualify for the ACP if their income is 200% or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Persons may also be eligible if they or anyone in their household already receives a Lifeline benefit.
If a person’s household is eligible, he or she could receive:
- Up to a $30/month discount on their internet service
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)
- A low-cost service plan that may be fully covered through the ACP*
