ExxonMobil Guyana joins Global Super League as title sponsor for ground-breaking T20 event

The much-anticipated Global Super League (GSL), set to kick off in Guyana from November 26 through December 7, proudly announced ExxonMobil Guyana as its title sponsor.

This partnership marks another milestone for cricket in Guyana as the nation gears up to host South America’s first standalone cricket event.

“ExxonMobil Guyana has long been a strong supporter of cricket in the region, making them the perfect partner for this event,” said GSL Chairman Sir Clive Lloyd. “Their continued investment in Guyana is deeply valued, and we’re thrilled to have their backing for the league.”

Promises thrilling action

The tournament promises thrilling action, with the Guyana Amazon Warriors facing off against four other top-tier T20 teams from around the world for a share of the $1 million prize pool. Each team will compete in four matches, with the top two advancing to a high-stakes final. All games will be held at the renowned Guyana National Stadium in Providence, bringing local fans and international viewers an unmissable cricket spectacle.

Backed by Cricket West Indies and fully supported by the government of Guyana, the GSL is set to become an annual event, attracting T20 teams from across the globe each season and creating a new chapter for cricket in South America. ExxonMobil’s partnership builds on its rich history of cricket sponsorship in Guyana, having supported the Amazon Warriors for eight years and regularly investing in youth sports programs like the “Future Warriors Tapeball Tournament.”
