Community leaders, elected officials, healthcare professionals, and members of the South Florida community recently gathered to celebrate the successful grand opening of Empower School of Dental Assisting, a new healthcare training institution dedicated to expanding career opportunities and helping meet the region’s growing demand for qualified dental professionals.

The celebration was highlighted by the official ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by Jamaica’s Consul General to Florida, The Honourable Oliver Mair. The event also attracted an impressive cross-section of civic and community leaders, including North Lauderdale Mayor Samson Borgelin, Broward County Commissioner Hazel Rogers, other elected officials, business leaders, clergy, educators, and residents who came together to support the school’s mission of transforming lives through education.

Guests toured the school’s modern training facility, met faculty and staff, and learned about its career-focused dental assisting program. The celebration also featured a live broadcast of The Love Doc & Stacy Rose Show on WAVS 1170 AM / 107.9 FM, along with music, refreshments, giveaways, and opportunities for prospective students to learn more about careers in healthcare.

Leading the vision for Empower School of Dental Assisting is Dr. Dennis Grant, whose passion for education and community development has shaped the school’s mission of creating pathways to meaningful careers. He is joined by Sandra Davenport, vice president, who brings more than 28 years of experience in the dental assisting profession and has dedicated her career to training and mentoring future dental professionals.

“Education has the power to transform lives,” said Dr. Grant. “Our mission is to equip students with the skills, confidence, and practical experience they need to build successful careers while helping meet South Florida’s growing demand for qualified dental professionals.”

Attendees left the event inspired by what they experienced. Voidrey from Plantation praised both the vision behind the school and the quality of the facility. “The grand opening was wonderful, and the facility is extremely impressive,” she said. “It’s exciting to see a school that is so focused on preparing students for successful careers while providing such a professional learning environment.”

With the healthcare industry continuing to expand, Empower School of Dental Assisting offers an affordable pathway into one of the region’s fastest-growing professions. Students can complete the program in as little as 10 weeks while receiving hands-on instruction from experienced professionals in a supportive learning environment.

The school’s next semester begins July 6, and there is still time to enroll. Students can choose from morning, evening, or Saturday classes, making the program an excellent option for recent high school graduates, working adults, and anyone looking to make a career change.

With classes beginning in less than a week, prospective students are encouraged to act quickly, as enrollment is currently underway and seats are limited. Empower also offers financing options, flexible payment plans, and scholarship opportunities to help make career training more accessible.

The strong community support shown during the grand opening reflects the confidence that local leaders and residents have in Empower’s vision and its commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

To reserve a seat for the July 6 class or schedule a personal tour, call 954-466-4804 or visit www.empowerdentalassistantschool.com. Your journey to a new healthcare career could begin in just a few days.
