In a significant move, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), headquartered in St. Kitts, has announced the approval of a change to the Eastern Caribbean (EC) currency.
The ECCB’s Monetary Council has given the green light to replace the image of Queen Elizabeth II on their currency with a new emblem.
Embracing the collective identity
ECCB said that the proposed replacement is an emblem designed to represent the flags of ECCB member countries, signifying a more comprehensive reflection of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU).

The ECCB, serving as the central bank for several Caribbean nations, plays a crucial role in the region's financial stability and economic development.
