Dr Thompson Fontaine re-elected as leader of Dominica’s opposition party

Dr. Thomson Fontaine, an economist in Dominica has been re-elected as the political leader of the main opposition United Workers Party (UWP).

Fontaine, whose professional endeavors took him to South Sudan for the past four years, where he served as an economic and international policy adviser to the government, was re-elected during the party’s recent conference on Sunday held in Marigot.

Lennox Linton returns as party president

The UWP conference also witnessed the re-election of Lennox Linton, a former party leader and opposition leader, to the position of party president.
