The operation has also led to the arrest of 24 individuals — 19 men and five women — charged with various offences. In addition, authorities confiscated large amounts of cash and numerous firearms, including two shotguns, a sub-machine gun, a nine-millimeter Taurus pistol, seven air rifles, and two Glock pistols, along with several rounds of ammunition. Cash seized included over US$10,000, 800 Barbados dollars, 400 Euros, and EC$30,507.
“This seizure represents a major blow to organized crime in Dominica,” Corbette said, highlighting the dangerous impact of cocaine on the nation’s citizens and the commitment of law enforcement to curb its circulation.
The announcement underscores the ongoing efforts by Dominica police to dismantle criminal networks operating in the region and to prevent the spread of narcotics that threaten public safety.
