Dominica extends gun and ammunition amnesty

Dominica's government has extended the country’s gun and ammunition amnesty.

The announcement was made by National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore.

Initially set to conclude on October 31, the amnesty has now been extended to December 1, in an effort to encourage the surrender of illegal firearms and ammunition.

Additional firearms expected to be covered

Blackmoore shared that only two illegal firearms were handed over, and the Ministry remains hopeful that more individuals will come forward and surrender their firearms.
