Dahlia Palmer secures hat-trick of wins at Easter Grand Prix

Jamaica’s Dahlia Palmer picked up a hat-trick of elite victories on March 30, the penultimate night of action at the Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation’s Easter International Grand Prix.

Palmer's stellar performance illuminated the Arima Velodrome as she dominated the Easter International Grand Prix with three remarkable wins. In the two-lap elite and international women’s race, Palmer set the tone early, leaving competitors Phoebe Sandy and Adrianna Seyjagat trailing behind in second and third place, respectively.

Palmer continued her winning streak by triumphing in the UCI keirin event, once again relegating Sandy to the runner-up position. Finally, she clinched victory in the elite women’s elimination race, outpacing Cheyenne Awai and the TTO duo of Seyjagat and Sandy.

Strong performances

Amidst Palmer's success, the national team also made waves with strong performances. Tariq Woods and Syndel Samaroo set the tone in the international elite men eight-lap race, securing first and second place, respectively. Woods later added to his accolades by triumphing in the elite men UCI points race.

Ryan Dabreau's victory in the elite men’s keirin and Fred Meridith's impressive win in the elite men scratch race further highlighted the night's competitive spirit. Syndel Samaroo's triumph in the junior men’s UCI keirin added to Trinidad and Tobago's success on the track, concluding a memorable evening of cycling excellence at the Easter International Grand Prix.
