KINGSTON, Jamaica — Cricket West Indies (CWI) is calling on fans across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean to unite in a powerful show of support for both team and country, as Andre Russell prepares for his final international appearances during the upcoming T20 Internationals against Australia on July 20 and 22 at Sabina Park.

In a bold move to fill the stands with unmatched energy and emotion, CWI has unveiled a special Buy One, Get One FREE ticket promotion under the banner of “DRE DAY”, a campaign designed to honor Russell’s storied career while galvanizing maroon-clad supporters around the regional team.

Russell’s last stand: A moment for the ages

Described by CWI as one of the region’s most electrifying players, Andre Russell has become a global symbol of West Indies power, flair, and resilience. Now, as he prepares to take his final bow in maroon on home soil, CWI CEO Chris Dehring is urging fans to seize the opportunity to celebrate a true Jamaican cricketing icon.

“These matches are an important moment for the West Indies team as we take on a world-class Australian side on home turf,” Dehring said. “We want to see Sabina Park rocking with support for our players – and as part of that, we’re also proud to honor Andre Russell, a true Jamaican star, who has represented the region with explosive brilliance. ‘DRE DAY’ is about uniting behind the team and celebrating one of our finest as he takes his final bow in maroon.”

Ticket promotion details: “Buy one, get one free”

The “DRE DAY” ticket offer is valid for General Admission tickets only, available to local CARICOM citizens. It does not apply to Party Stand, Cricket Cave, or Hospitality tickets, nor to already discounted tickets for children and seniors, which remain at 50% off.

Online purchasers can access the promotion by selecting the “DRE DAY SPECIAL OFFER!” during checkout.

In-person buyers at the Sabina Park box office will have the discount applied automatically.

Fireworks expected on and off the field

With Australia in town and emotions running high, both matches promise on-field fireworks and off-field celebration, as fans come together to salute one of the game's most dynamic entertainers.

More than just a promotion, “DRE DAY” is a rallying cry — a celebration of Caribbean cricket’s enduring spirit and a farewell to a man whose fearless batting and larger-than-life presence made him a favorite in stadiums across the globe.

Come for the cricket. Stay for the legacy

This is more than just a game — it's a defining moment for Caribbean cricket. As the West Indies look to the future, they pause now to honor a champion of the past.

Cricket West Indies looks forward to seeing Sabina Park filled with unity, energy, and pride. Come for the cricket. Stay for the legacy. Rally round the West Indies. Celebrate “DRE DAY.”
