The six-month extension will make Kilpatrick Cayman’s longest-serving governor since Alan J. Scott, who served for five years between 1987 and 1992.
Kilpatrick officially began her tour as governor on September 6, 2013.
She is the Cayman Islands’ first female governor since the territory began appointing that position in 1971
