The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has announced that the City of Miramar's Economic Development and Housing Department has once again been recognized as one of 99 economic development organizations accredited by the organization as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO).
Originally accredited in October 2022, the department was re-accredited by IEDC following three successful years as an AEDO member.

Earning AEDO accreditation signals to the community and prospective businesses that the City of Miramar's Economic Development and Housing Department has achieved a recognized standard of excellence, assuring stakeholders that their trust is well placed and that their business interests are in capable hands.
To maintain AEDO status, organizations must undergo re-accreditation every three years through documentation submissions and/or on-site visits conducted by members of the AEDO Review Board.
